A deadline from the Trump Administration was halted last week, and is now in the hands of a judge. When a deadline is set those employees will have to make a high-stakes choice: Take a buyout and resign, or they can choose to stay in an uncertain job environment, including the possibility of being laid-off or having significant changes in work duties or leave with a buyout. The Institute for Operations Research & Management Sciences (INFORMS) is hosting an Analytics Conference in Orlando in April 2016. The event is expected to bring in more than 1,000 business professionals and owners — many who specialize in analytics. Big names in business are expected to make an appearance, too. Ford's Chief Analytics Officer Paul Ballew and Uber's lead Director of Operations Research Samuel Elderesveld will both speak at the event, along with plenty of others who have helped the U.S. Army, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, BNY Mellon, NYPD and UPS. In addition to the speakers, there will be dozens of workshops, consultations and networking opportunities. In total, there will be more that 120 events for attendees to schedule.
