2025 Mini-Poster Competition Call

The OR/MS Tomorrow Mini Poster Competition is returning for its sixth consecutive year! This competition is designed to nurture student researchers by helping them develop the skills to effectively and efficiently summarize and articulate their research ideas to a broader audience.

Eligibility:

• Open to all students—both current INFORMS members and non-members.
• Participants must design one letter-sized page (8.5" × 11") to communicate their research topic to the OR/MS community.
• Submissions are accepted in three categories:
  • Undergraduate students
  • Master’s students
  • Ph.D. students

Evaluation Criteria:
Entries will be judged on the following:

• Novelty of the topic
• Maturity of the content
• Quality and clarity of information
• Engagement and visual appeal (aesthetics)

Prizes:

• First Place (per category): $250 USD and feature in the Fall/Winter 2025 issue of OR/MS Tomorrow
• Second Place (per category): $150 USD
• Honorable Mention (per category): $100 USD
• Additional Benefits:
  • Non-INFORMS member winners will receive a free one-year INFORMS student membership
  • Undergraduate team entries will split the cash prize among team members
  • All winners will receive an electronic certificate celebrating their achievement
